I’m always on the lookout for good quality high street makeup for reasonable prices. Today this post is going to be about my favourite products I’ve found for under £5. I’m going to do a £10 one at some point next week too.
1) MUA Mosaic Blush – English Rose - £2.50
I bought this because I saw it recommended on a blog for pale skin. It looks a bit scary in the packaging but it gives a really pretty sheer pink finish. There isn’t a great deal of pigmentation but it’s perfect when you want a pretty shimmer on your cheeks. It also works great as a highlighter and that’s how I’ve used it on my face below. Overall for £2.50 I think it’s a great everyday product and the name is lovely.
2) Collection 2000 – Fast Stroke Eyeliner - £2.99
This is a product that has been in my makeup bag since I was about 15. Well not this specific one, I’m probably on my 10th one by now. It’s the first liquid eyeliner I’ve ever bought and I don’t think I’d ever buy a different one. It gives an amazingly defined line and is so easy to use. Definitely my Holy Grail liquid eyeliner.
3) Dainty Doll Blush – 003 Money Talks – £4.14 (Amazon)
I guess you’re all getting bored with reading about these by now but I thought I’d include it as it is under £5 and it is my favourite ever blush. You can see a full review of it here. It’s a gorgeous warm brown colour with some added shimmer. I love using it with a highlighter and in the look below I’ve used it with the mosaic blush.
4) Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick - Notting Hill Nude - £1
Now this was a complete steal, I found it in pound land for £1! I wasn’t sure what the colour would be like as all I had to go on was the sticker on the bottom. As it was only £1 and it had the word nude in the title I thought I’d go for it. I’m so glad I got this the colour turned out to be right up my street and it has such an amazing creamy formula. I can use it on my lips even when they’re at their peak of dryness so it has been my go to lipstick over the winter months. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more of these in pound land.
5) Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder - £3.99
This is another long standing staple of my makeup bag. I have oily skin so a pressed powder has always been an essential of mine. I’ve tried many out over the years but I always end up coming back to this one. It’s remarkable value for money and keeps you looking matte and fresh all day so a great product in all areas.
