Hope everyone's fine despite the gloomy weather, at least today is Friday! Another exam season has finished for me which means only one more to go until I graduate! If anyone else has had exams recently I hope they all went very well.
Recently I've changed my primer because as of late I've fallen out of love with the Porefessional. I just found it was drying out my skin too much; I'm not sure if it's to do with the cold winter weather or if my skin has just had enough. However I'd read on Corrie's blog that she loves the Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser as a primer and I have to admit it leaves your skin looking lovely and matte. I usually put the Body Shop Seaweed Moisturiser on first and then follow it with the primer and this helps keep the oil away. The Foundation is RMK Creamy Foundation and is one that I got in a BirchBox, I took this travelling with me for a month and there is still a decent amount left. For a sample it's lasted really well, and the foundation itself is great lovely and creamy but not too heavy. It gives a wonderful finish, I usually rub some in with my fingertips and then give it a quick once over with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. My chosen products for my cheeks are other new additions; two products by benefit, Hervana and Watt's up. I have quite pale skin so I was looking for the best blushes for me and Benefit-Hervana kept popping up. It is a very pretty pale pink and works perfectly on my light skin and of course this was applied with the real techniques blush brush. I bought Watts Up as I really wanted to start using a highlighter, I was worried at first as it's quite thick and creamy and my skin is quite oily, however it blends really well and sits perfectly on my skin. I love this highlighter as it just gives such a lovely warm glow and to be honest I'm surprised I haven't heard more about it. For powder I used 2 True Smooth Matte Powder, this is a brand that you can get in Superdrug I think, I picked it up as I was buying a nail varnish and you got to pick something free and actually I love this powder so much. It's really fine and doesn't sit on my dry patches and it's such a bargain. My usual eye combination is two products by Clinique, High Impact Mascara and Quickliner for Eyes Intense. I cannot tell you the amount of times I've repurchased this mascara it is definitely a Holy Grail product for me. I've just swept the eyeliner along my top lid and given it a little blend. I've finished the look with a touch of Calvin Klein lipstick in Delicious.
Have you tried any of these products? what do you think of them?
I'm off to see American Hustle tonight, I've heard some good things about it so I hope it lives up to them!
Lots of Love
